Making an Aroma Mobile

Making own scented accessories using a round & cute aroma ball!

From the simplest aroma ball type mobile to advanced mobile using various molds.

Use fragrance oils for candle objet to create a fragrant aroma mobile that will give a

deep fragrance, even if left alone without burning it.

Preparing Tools

Prepare | Scale, Stainless Pot, CW Pillar Blend Wax 1kg, 08 Choco Ball Base Mold, Oil Soluble Liquid Dye Set, Woodpick, Natural Cotton Flower Branch (50cm), White Cotton Wick #0

Melting Wax

To fill whole 15cavities of #8 Choco Ball Base Mold, 15g per each cavity (total 225g) of wax is needed. Melt the appropriate amount of wax according to the number of aroma mobile balls you want to make.

**UV block is good to add for preventing discoloration.

Coloring

Use Oil Soluble Liquid Dye on completely melted wax to color the desired color.

In order to create a mobile with a natural concept, the colors of ivory ~ brown are used to create a natural feeling.

1st – Ivory color : 3 touches

2nd – Borwn + Olive +Black colors : slight touch

3rd – Brown + Black : only small amount

4th – Brown + Black

Scaling Fragrance Oil

Weigh out 200g of wax at about 95℃ and add 25g (about 10~12%) of fragrance oil. Different scents can be added for each color to create a blended effect, and one scent can be unified.

** Some citrus flavors may break when mixed at high temperatures. It is recommended to use a fragrance with high heat resistance.

Pouring into the Mold

When the temperature of the wax containing the fragrance is about 85℃, pour the wax up to about 2/3 of the mold.

** In a space with a severe temperature difference, such as in winter or summer (a space where an air conditioner is used indoors), lightly preheat the inside of the mold with a hot air blower or a heat tool and pour wax to make a candle with a cleaner surface. If the temperature changes rapidly as the wax touches the mold, air bubbles may occur as if pouring low-temperature wax.

Making Aroma Balls by Colors

Mix in the desired color and mix with fragrance oil to make 3-4 plates of 15 aroma balls.

Making a Wick Hole

The back part of the color wood pick makes a wick hole around the time the candle hardens. Turn it left and right to secure the path so that the wick can fit well to the end of the wax.

Demolding

After the wax is completely solidified without warmth, demold the aroma ball from the silicone mold.

Connecting the Aroma Ball

Since the No. 0 wick is thin, tie twice knots to create a starting point, and put the aroma ball in the wick according to the desired color sequence, and make the total length more than 30cm. In the same way, make several aroma ball lines according to your desired design.

** When creating a mobile line, if you create aroma balls with 1 or 2 margins, you can use double knots to adjust the spacing.

Organizing the Cotton Branch (Preparing Mobile Frame)

Cut the cotton from the cotton branches gathered at the front and organize them into a long wooden stick to create a mobile frame.

** You can also make aroma mobiles with more diverse designs by purchasing commercially available mobile machines, mobile stands, and wooden sticks.

Making the Mobile

Tie the aroma ball line made using the wick to the cotton branch at regular intervals. Since the aroma ball weighs about 25g per ball, it can be fixed even more firmly by winding it around the mobile frame 2-3 times and knotting it.

Tying the Ribbon

Considering the center of both sides, tie the ribbon firmly at the end to complete the ribbon loop for the aroma mobile.

Decorating

Complete the mobile by holding both centers well. You can complete a cute cotton aroma mobile with a more seasonal feel by wiring the wire to the cotton branch that was cut earlier or decorating it on the desired area using a glue gun.
