Perfume Making GuideSeasonal Fragrance Oil Recommendations
This guide introduces a simple method for creating perfume using fragrance oils,
allowing even beginners to achieve a refined result with ease.
While perfume can be enjoyed regardless of season based on personal preference, certain fragrances naturally align better with specific times of the year due to their characteristics such as volatility, diffusion, and overall composition.
Based on these blending principles, we also recommend fragrance oils that complement each of the four seasons.
01
Prepare Materials
Materials ㅣPerfume Base (Also for Room Spray), Morning Light, Muguet fragrance oil, (Part) CLAIR 50ml Clear Glass Perfume Bottle, (Part) Matte White Block Overcap, Precision Pocket Scale for Classes (0.01g/500g), Glass Beaker 50ml, Mini Funnel, Glass Rod, CW Spray Tool, Perfume Bottle Capping Machine 4-in-1, Perfumery Ethanol Base 99%, Layer of Perfume Label (square)
02
Measuring the Perfume Base
Prepare the materials by lightly rinsing a glass beaker and the perfume bottle with a blending ethanol base.Place a 50 ml glass beaker on a precision pocket scale calibrated to 0.01 g up to 500 g and reset the scale to zero.
Then measure 42.5 g of the perfume base to achieve a 15 percent fragrance concentration, which corresponds to Eau de Parfum.
* Eau de Parfum, often abbreviated as EDP, is a medium concentration fragrance typically formulated at 8 to 15 percent. It is well suited for a wide range of occasions and is known for its rich and layered scent profile.
This format is widely preferred by those who enjoy complex and well balanced compositions.
** When converting to grams, variations may occur due to differences in specific gravity.
Since each material has a different density compared to water, the value may not exactly match the equivalent volume measured in milliliters.
03
Measuring the Fragrance Oil
Measure 7.5 g of a fragrance oil that complements the season.Using a high precision scale allows for accurate measurement even at very small quantities.
In this example, the fragrance oil “Morning Sunlight Lily of the Valley,” which suits the spring season, is used.
* The blending ratio may vary depending on characteristics such as scent diffusion and viscosity.
Before proceeding with large scale production, it is recommended to review the IFRA documentation to confirm the appropriate fragrance concentration.
04
Blending and Maturation
Using a glass stirring rod, mix the solution evenly for about one minute to ensure the fragrance is fully incorporated. Then, use a mini funnel to carefully transfer the mixture into the perfume bottle.
A freshly blended perfume may present a noticeable alcohol note.
For a smoother and more well balanced scent, it is recommended to allow the fragrance to mature for approximately two weeks before use.
05
Securing the Spray Nozzle
Trim the spray tube at a slight angle so that its length sits just below the shoulder of the perfume bottle, slightly longer than the base. When securing the spray nozzle onto a crimp type perfume bottle, using the “Perfume Bottle Capping Tool 4 in 1” allows for a more efficient and stable process.
If using the CW spray tool, align the outer rim of the spray nozzle precisely with the bottle opening, then apply even pressure from above with your palm to secure it in place.
06
Final Touch
Even with the same perfume bottle, different overcap combinations can create entirely distinct impressions.Complete the fragrance with a refined finish by selecting an overcap and label that complement the mood of the scent.

Spring
Fragrance oils suited for spring are characterized by clean and lightweight scent profiles, centered around floral, green, and tea accords.
They tend to evaporate relatively quickly and diffuse softly into the air without being overpowering, making them ideal for effortless everyday wear.
* CW fragrance oils: Morning Sunlight Lily of the Valley, Sweet Osmanthus Tea, Damask Rose
* Perfume Glass: CLAIR 50 (Matte White Block Overcap)
08
Recommended Fragrance Oils - Summer
Fragrance oils suited for summer are typically built around citrus, aquatic, and light woody accords, highlighting a refreshing and vibrant first impression with quick evaporation.
They offer a strong initial diffusion, followed by a light and crisp dry down.
* CW fragrance oils: Summer Night Forest Walk, Sparkling Orange Tea, Koh Samui
* Perfume Glass: SONA 30 (Red Ball Overcap)
09
Recommended Fragrance Oils - Autumn
Autumn fragrances are centered around woody, moss, and leather accords, creating a calm and dry atmosphere.
The scent develops gradually over time and remains steady rather than diffusing too widely, adding depth and a sense of refinement.
* CW fragrance oils: Autumn Leaf and Moss, Santal 33 Le Type, Tam Dao D Type
* Perfume Glass: PLANET AMBER 100 (Matte Black Ball Overcap)
10
Recommended Fragrance Oils - Winter
Winter fragrances are centered around rich base notes such as amber, musk, and powdery accords.
With a slower evaporation rate and a dense, long lasting dry down, they do not diffuse widely but remain close to the skin, creating a warm and comforting scent experience.
* CW fragrance oils : Amber and Lavender JM Type, White Musk Body Type, Violet and Suede Leather
* Perfume Glass : OGGETTO 30ml (Black Flat Overcap)
