Lavender

Herbal, Floral, Aromatic, Slightly Fruity-Sweet

Lavender is one of the most popular natural essential oils, and its quality is of utmost importance.
It is widely known for its excellent aromatherapy benefits, including calming effects and reducing tension and stress.

Lavender fragrance is commonly used in men's fougère notes, having contributed to creating the classic lavender-moss-coumarin (tonka bean)
structure in "Fougere Royale" (Houbigant, 1882).
It holds a significant position in both aromatherapy and the creation of natural perfumes.

The characteristics of CW Lavender Natural Essential Oil

The Labiatae (Lamiaceae) family, rich in aromatic oils, includes some of the most versatile natural fragrances. This family encompasses peppermint, spearmint, melissa, thyme, basil, rosemary, sage, marjoram, and most importantly, lavender. Among the various species of Lavandula, the most widely produced and significant is Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia).
Over 300 constituents have been identified in lavender, with subtle differences between species influenced by climate, weather, and soil. Lavender flowers are harvested just before they fully bloom in July, before the lavender scent disperses into the air. The freshly harvested lavender is then steam distilled while still fresh to produce essential oil.
The resulting oil is pale yellow, featuring a cool herbal scent, a slightly sweet fruity top note, and a hint of balsamic base notes that blend well with vanilla and tonka bean.
