Opopanax Resinoid
Sweet, Balsamic, Spicy, Warm
The ancient Romans used Opopanax as incense in their temples.
It is sweeter and less bitter than Myrrh but generally shares a similar sensory fragrance.
It has a long-lasting scent, adding a delightful aroma to natural perfumes as an excellent fixative.
Characteristics of CW Opopanax Resinoid
Opopanax, also known as Sweet Myrrh, is produced from the resin of Commiphora Erythraea, a cousin of Myrrh (Commiphora Myrrha). The tree grows up to 5m tall, and its resin is dark brown to reddish-brown in color. CW handles unrefined (not produced as an absolute or oil) Opopanax Resinoid, which is in a solid state at room temperature.
