Peru Balsam
Sweet, Balsamic, Amber, Spicy
Peru Balsam oil has a very smooth and sweet balsamic scent reminiscent of vanilla.
While it has a long-lasting and excellent fixative property, it's worth noting that its usage may be limited due to allergic reactions, so please take this into consideration.
The scent of Peru Balsam is similar to Tolu Balsam but with a softer,
slightly floral aroma compared to the spicier scent of Tolu Balsam.
Characteristics of CW Peru Balsam Natural Essential Oil
Peru Balsam oil is obtained by steam distillation of the resin (oleoresin) obtained by injuring the Myroxylon Balsamum tree (Greek for "fragrant wood") that grows over 15 meters high in the highlands of Central America. Peru Balsam oil is viscous and ranges in color from ochre to light brown, and it can solidify or crystallize at low temperatures. Peru Balsam oil is toxic to the skin, so it should not exceed 0.4% of the total cosmetic formulation.
