Pink Pepper CO2 Extract
Spicy, Peppery, Fruity, Aromatic
Black pepper and pink pepper are both among the trendiest spicy notes in modern perfumery.
In particular, with the success of the fragrance "Pleasures" (Estée Lauder, 1995), which was the bestseller at the time,
interest in pink pepper surged rapidly, initiating a trend.
Compared to black pepper, pink pepper has a milder, sweeter, creamier aroma, with hints of juniper berry and elemi (resin from tree species).
As an initial scent, it carries a lemony fresh spicy aroma, sharp and clean, making it well-suited for floral notes like rose and geranium, as well as other fruity notes.
Characteristics of CW Pink Pepper Natural Essential Oil
Both black pepper and pink pepper share a "peppery" aroma but originate from entirely different plant species.
Pink pepper comes from the fruit of the Schinus molle L. tree, which can grow up to 15m in height in the Andes Mountains of Peru, and is also known as American pepper or Peruvian pepper.
Currently, it grows wild across the South American continent from Mexico to southern Chile.
The bright pink fruits, measuring 5-7mm, are harvested for use as spices or fragrances, particularly in the traditional South American fermented corn beer called "Chicha."
