Point 4. Helpful Tips for Making an Oil Lamp

The flame's size varies depending on the length of the wick, so keep the wick length as short as 1~2mm.
If you light the wick without being thoroughly wetted with oil, the wick itself will burn, shortening its length and causing the fire to go out. Soak the wick in enough oil and light it on fire.
Keeping less than two-thirds or half of the container's solution is the most stable and brightest flame.
Using a snuffer can make the wick's fire safer and more soot-free.
