Fir Balsam Bark Oil
Woody, Pine Nut, Warm, Timber
This is a slightly different kind of fir oil—one that reveals the warm and quiet side of conifer trees.
Unlike most coniferous essential oils, which are distilled from needles and small branches, Fir Balsam Bark Oil is obtained by steam-distilling only the bark of the balsam fir after the wood has been processed.
As a result, it carries a warmer and more grounded woody character, rather than the bright, crisp freshness typically associated with conifer oils.
A soft, nutty nuance reminiscent of pine nuts gently lingers throughout, while deep, shaded woody notes evoke the image of damp tree bark in a forest.
This oil holds a natural, authentic aroma that is difficult to replicate with synthetic materials, and its rich character gives weight and structure to the base of a fragrance.
It’s a valuable ingredient when you want to bring depth to woody compositions or express the warmth and stillness of a forested space.
