Bergamot oil FCF
Fresh, Citrus, Herbal, Woody
A widely used top note in natural perfumery, Bergamot FCF is a refined version of bergamot oil with furocoumarins (especially bergaptene), which can cause phototoxicity, largely removed. Compared to regular bergamot oil, it offers reduced skin sensitivity concerns and can be used up to 75% in Category 4 (fine fragrance) applications.
Extracted by cold pressing the peel of Citrus bergamia grown in Calabria, Italy, this oil is rich in linalool and linalyl acetate, giving it a softer, more floral citrus character. It opens with fresh lemon-orange brightness, followed by subtle herbal and balsamic nuances. Bergamot remains an essential ingredient in Eau de Cologne styles and in Earl Grey tea accords.
An ideal choice for creating bright, elegant citrus top notes while maintaining enhanced safety and versatility.
