It also contains notes of camphor similar to rosemary, slight citrus, earthy, and peppery notes.
It can be used in blends with lavender and geranium to create a calming effect.

Sweet fennel is a perennial plant that grows up to 1.8 meters tall. It has long, flexible stems with light, feathery leaves. Originally native to the Mediterranean region, it is now a widely cultivated herb around the world. The natural essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the seeds of Foeniculum vulgare.
