Characteristics of CW Cumin Natural Essential Oil
Cumin seed oil is produced by steam distilling the seeds of Cuminum Cyminum after crushing them. It is a brown liquid with a very intense green spicy aroma. The majority of cumin oil is produced in India, with smaller amounts produced in Egypt, Morocco, and Iran. It is also used as a flavor in meat sauces and pickle seasonings. It is important not to confuse cumin seed essential oil with cumin seed carrier oil, which is produced by cold pressing the seeds. The primary component of cumin oil is cuminaldehyde, which is very strong and should be diluted in very small amounts.
