Carrot seed essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of crushed seeds of Daucus carota. Caratol constitutes over 50% of its composition. It is produced in small quantities in countries like France, Hungary, and India, and is used as a component in perfumery. It's known to have effects on skin care for aging and wrinkled skin. Carrot seed essential oil makes a good scent when diluted and is recommended to be used in blends with other essential oils.
